In July and August the STL closes at 4 P.M. except Tuesday, when it stays open till 8 P.M. On Saturdays during this period, the library is closed.
The General Study Room of the State Technical Library serves for the study of all users
possessing an STL valid User's Card or a card for study in the premises of the STL (valid
for one week), issued in the General Study Room for a fee specified by the Price List.

- monthly updated exhibition of selected new additions to the STL - bookings can be made for

- freely accessible collections of journals related to technology, applied sciences natural
sciences and other related fields, divided according to selected UDC notations into 33
subject groups, and trade journals
- journals and magazines published in the current and previous year
- selected Czech dailies (Lidové noviny, Mladá fronta Dnes, Právo, Hospodářské noviny,
Večerník Praha)
- licensed databases of online journals and secondary sources
- the reference library contains dictionaries, basic reference and encyclopaedic titles,
