	On Saturday from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M

In July and August the STL closes at 4 P.M. except Tuesday, when it stays open till 8 P.M. On Saturdays during this period, the library is closed.

 

The STL Computer Study Room can be used for in-site use of electronic information sources from the library collections and on the internet. It can be used by any registered user collection a valid User's Card.

The STL Computer Study Room is equipped with 14 workstations for users and 2 workstations for employees, all with CD-ROM and diskette drives, and with a laser printer. Windows 2000, and the MS Internet Explorer browser are installed on the workstations. Users can use a reference library and constantly updated mediatheque. Only CD-ROMs which do not contain secondary information can be borrowed outside the premises.

Computer Study Room users are obliged to observe the rules for the work with STL computers as well as the Computer Study Room Regulations (part of STL Library Regulations).

Information sources available in the room:

• selected databases on CD-ROMs
• freely accessible data from the internet related to technology and applied natural sciences
• CD-ROMs and diskettes from library collections - detachable publications or supplements to periodicals or publications

Users can store the results of their work in their temporary work directories, from which they can either have the printed for fee (data from CD-ROMs and the internet), or store then to a diskette or CD-ROM (data from the internet). Text editor is available.
