  3. Computer networks and Internet connectivity
    1. In general HW, SW
    2. Internet connectivity is 100 Mbps provided by CESNET. We are using Cisco and Nortel routers.

    3. New HW, SW; connectivity upgrades
    4. Upgrade to 1 Gbps is planned for Q3 2001.

  4. Library automation
    1. In general HW/SW
    2. Our own library system (using Dataflex) running on PC-compatibles (currently Pentium to PentiumIII) with Linux.  Cataloguing uses MSDOS based software. Workstations running Win95 to WinMe.

    4. Upgrade to Windows based cataloguing software planned for Q3 2001.

    2. Our own software written in Perl, using MySQL and running on Linux.

    2. Dialog Services, Web of Science, Elsevier and Springer serials, ...

  7. Electronic document delivery services
  8. We began providing EDD services to students and employees of CTU on Jan 1st 2001. We provide EDD from our own resources and from documents obtained by ILL/IILL. This service is available for free as part of library services. We also participate in VPK project, where we offer EDD from our own resources.
