The 2003 CASLIN Seminar dynamically adapted its tentative topic Library Management: ten years after to the events that remarkably hit the Czech library scene, i.e to the flood. This theme will be elaborated on a somewhat more generalised level of crisis prevention and management and of recovery of disaster effects. As such we believe it will be of interest not only to libraries/librarians but to any memory institutions whose collections are paper-based.
Also, the fabulous "Aquarium" will be a part of the programme, as well as
the excursion through the pleasant landscape of South Bohemia to libraries
hit by the last summer flood.
