ALEPH development requests procedure


I. Review Aleph 500 Demo Library

All aleph users can send their suggestions to Ex Libris via closed listserv, which Ex Libris will set up in October/November 1997. The suggestions can be send on national level or individual library level.

II. Create Request Database for Aleph 300 for Absolutely essential functions.

Timetable

  • submit request by
    		•  December 1
  • request edited by editorial board
    		•  February 15
    in December and January the EB can discuss problems with Ex Libris.
    The person to contact will be Juppi Hertzmann
  • relevancy vote by ICAU members by
    		•  March 15
  • list containing max 40 requests sent to Ex Libris by
    		• April 15
  • response from Ex Libris by
    		• May 15

    Ex Libris committment to develop Aleph 300 items essential to users.

    Comments:

  • EB can move request from Aleph 300 to an Aleph 500 suggestion.
  • It is important that Ex Libris report on this years requests are out before submitting.
