Major Developments since last ICAU-meeting:

Retroconversion: during last year we continue with the retrospective conversion of our card catalogues (by scanner, OCR/IR and reformatting software "Malachia") and we downloaded 8660 records.

WWW: We are now implementing our Web server. Finally with the installation of the new release of the software it is possible to show our analytical records and their holdings.

Acquisition: During the last year, we started to work with the acquisition module. The project involved 17 libraries with different legal status (public and university libraries) sharing the same _local library". We defined a special programme in order to download the files with the inventory reports directly in the administrative (homemade) software.

Acquisition proposals: We downloaded, in a special local library, the book in print database of Casalini bookseller. The content of the DB is of 20.000 records and we implement it -monthly- with new records via FTP. Librarians are allowed to duplicate these records in the main DB for the acquisition and cataloguing procedure.
