Aleph Configuration:

• Version: 3.2_6.04 (since late june, 1997)
• Modules used: All
• License: 60 users, unlimited number of records
• Operating system: SUN Solaris 2
• Server: SUN Enterprise 2, 576 MB RAM, 12.6 GB HD
• Network: TCP/IP , PDS-cabling with about 550 drops.

Workstations:

• Ca. 180 Pentium PC’s, 60 of these for public use.
• Besides that we have 7 stand-alone pc's for public use of
• CD-ROM and games for children.

Major Developments since last ICAU-meeting:

Replacing our SUN S30-server with the above mentioned - a big improvement in reply times - especially in batch-routines.

Change to ALEPH version 3.2_6 in late june 1997.

Replacing all of our terminals with PC’s.

Changing from Uniplex to Microsoft Office

Establishing a database (Kulturbasen) with information on cultural activities in Roskilde

Major Developments planned:

If the price is right: Change from ALEPH 3.2 versions to ALEPH 500.

Open Problems:

The web-interface still leaves much to be desired concerning the display of holding information on issues.
