- July 1996 Switching from UNIX ver.9 to UNIX ver.10.01

- The Internet connection for our server was installed. We prepared the Polish version of the Aleph WWW server.
- The first virtual exhibition of paintings - "Marshals of Sejm" is accessible.
- Using the external program we have built the hierarchical structure of LAW thesaurus (the CLA Library) for systematic display. It is a pity that Aleph does not have its own mechanism to prepare such display. We have also prepared data from the CLA Library in Ventura Publisher format for publication of the alphabetic list of terms (external program).
- Retroconversion of books published between 1990 and 1993 was done.
- We have started bar-coding of books from the reading room as the first step for implementation of the circulation module. The new acquisitions are also bar-coded and the alternate key field for corresponding holding records is filled up.
- BIS - our main catalog contains ca. 20000 bibliographic records, 927 journal titles included.
- ART - database of articles from journals consists of ca. 7000 bibliographic records.
- MUZ - database of museum objects contains 191 records.
Planned developments:
- Implementation of Circulation module
- Creating new libraries - for Archives and Audiovideo Collection.
- Adding the full texts of selected documents to index terms (constitutions)
Open problems:
- In WWW OPAC - sequencing of document records linked to each ACC entry by a document field fild in TABALEPH subtable 01H pos. 21-38. (like in text version)
- Direct Email from Aleph UTIL functions (ex. for Acquisition)
- Print-facility for search results in WWW OPAC
