Aleph configuration:
To manage the Library System we use:
- a UNIX-ALEPH (version 3.2.5) licence for 120 users (31 full users, 89 search users) and 220.000 records.
- a dedicated IBM RISC 6000/580 type. 713 with 580 Mb of central memory, 6 Gb disk storage and 668 Mb of paging space.
- a dedicate IBM RISC 6000/43P typ. 100 with 256 Mb of central memory, 2 Gb disk storage and 96 Mb of paging space (with Internet connection secured network gateway a "firewall" software, used to manage a controlled access to our WWW).
- 60 Personal computer (20 reserved for OPAC) and 20 printer.
- PC and printers are linked to the host using TPC/IP protocols.
- host is connected to Internet through our "firewall machine"
- host is connected to the University main frame via SNA in order to daily down-load borrower records from administrative database.

- 110,000 monographic volumes (10% of which were derived from "Bibliofile")
