Major developments since last ICAU meeting:

• 1 February 1995 : switch into production CAT, MA modules, partially ACQ module
• data conversion (1981-1994) from non MARC format into UNIMARC - 190 thousand bibliographic records
• Aleph non-standard printouts (inventory lists)
• LAN finished
• local programme for printing cataloguing cards developed

Major developments planned:

by the end of 1995:
• running OPAC for users (in main services hall)
• filling databases of users, vendors
• barcode assignement of books and readers
• experimental and (hopefully) routine running catalog cards printouts
• switching off MAGIC cataloguing processing

Open problems:

• Client-server architecture
• Graphical users interface, at least OPAC module
• Due to disc space requirements enormous reduction of ACC and IND files
