ICAU '95 resolution
Accepted by the Board of Members at the Annual Meeting
on September 19, 1995
- Information flow from Ex Libris and/or local distributor to the
Aleph users should be improved throughout the year (e.g. by re-
issuing the Ex Libris Newsletter).
- Quality of documentation has to be improved so that it contains
up-to-date and correct information for all three target groups:
system administrators, system librarians, library staff.
- Each version should be accompanied by documentation indicating
all changes made in that version (both as to the functionality and
as to the editorial changes in the manuals).
- In between the versions Ex Libris should collect the current
information about the known bugs and distribute it to the Aleph
users together with a way of elimination and/or the correction
version/date.
- It is in the interest of Ex Libris to provide the local
distributors with sufficient support so that they serve their
contractual partners efficiently.
- Also, the direct support from Ex Libris to their customers must
be improved as to the timeliness and the availability throughout
the week.
- Ex Libris should inform the users where the beta testing site
is located. The beta site contract should include the obligation
to provide information of the known bugs on request of Aleph users.
