The State Technical Library offers its users the following databases on CD-ROM:

Analytical Abstracts	Publ.: SilverPlatter	from 1980 to 1997
This database provides global information from the field of analytical chemistry as it is being processed by the British Royal Chemistry Society. It offers in excess of 200,000 records on articles from more than 1,100 journals published in more than 20 languages. The database also covers books, conference materials, technical standards and reports.
Compendex Plus	Publ.: Knight Ridder	since 1989
Compendex provides comprehensive information on important technical literature from all over the world, namely from the fields of mechanical engineering and related fields. The database incorporates journal articles, reports, publications of professional technical societies, conference materials and individual papers presented at conferences.
Computer Select	Publ.: IAC	since 1992
This database containing more than 90,000 records incorporating information from more than 170 journals published in English and focused on computer technology (HW and SW). In addition to bibliographical data, most of the records contain either the full text of the given article or an annotation. In certain journals, the database provides very detailed data on programmes or the actual programmes themselves. Computer Select also contains the Data Source information file on software and hardware and a dictionary of definitions.

This database comprises the Books Database (Czech book production), Articles Database (articles printed in Czech newspapers and journals and processed for the ANAL cooperation system), Periodicals Database (bibliography of Czech periodicals since 1990) and Dissertations Database (bibliography of dissertations and original reports since 1989)
EBSCO Serials Directory	Publ.: EBSCO	current version
This reference database contains bibliographical information on more than 150,000 periodicals from all over the world. In addition, it also includes information on subscription fees, numbers of copies published, reviews by experts, ISI impact factors and much more.
F@S Index plus Text	Publ.: SilverPlatter	from 1994 to 1996
Both editions are available. The International Edition covers information sources published in Europe and Asia, whilst the US Edition covers material published in the United States. Predicast is a combination of more than 2,400 expert and professional journals and governmental publications covering almost every field available worldwide. Apart from bibliographical data, the database also contains facts and statistical data on enterprises and their products, on markets and applied technology. Over 80% of the 500,000 records are full text or contain annotations from the PROMT (Predicast Overview of Markets and Technology) database.
Corporate Monitor	Publ.: Albertina data s.r.o.	current version
This product comprises 4 databases in total. The CR Organizations' Register Database contains data on all business entities registered in CR and SR. The Press Monitor Database contains records of articles on economic subjects and reports on companies which have been published in the press, and, which also registers the annual reports of companies, information on profits and losses and other commercial-economic indicators published. The product also includes the Advertisement Monitor Database which is created by monitoring commercial advertisements, published in almost 200 Czech and Slovak periodicals. The range of advertisements monitored covers many fields. The fourth database is the Financial Profiles Database which contains detailed information on selected companies.

This database contains records of articles with abstracts from more than 4,200 journals, conference materials, books and reports (more than 250,000 records are added each year) from the area of physics, electronics, electrical technology and telecommunications, computers and computer technology and from the fields of automation and control technology and information technology.
ISSN Compact	Publ.: ISSN	current version
ISSN Compact is an authoritative bibliographical database which contains the ISSN Register with almost 800,000 records on currently published and discontinued serial publications (particularly journals, newspapers and yearbooks) from all over the world which have been assigned an international standard serial number (ISSN) - including publications from CR. The database can be searched by means of a combination of 24 different keys, including keys concerning the contents. The disk also contains a list of the abbreviations of words contained in the titles of LSTWA serial publications.
JurixMax	Publ.: CODEX Bohemia	current version
JurixMax is a professional, legal information system designed as an electronic collection of laws and law literature. The installed database contains - amongst, others - both overviews and the full text of all valid domestic legal statutes published since the year 1945 in the Collection of Laws. The records on individual legal statutes also contain data on amendments and other legal relationships. The subject index allows the retrieval of all legal statutes related to a specified issue. The files of EC documents, bibliography of law literature, full texts of selected laws etc. are also provided.

This database contains the information necessary for the installation, maintenance of and the solving of network problems. It is an extensive information file produced by Novell and its partners. The database is divided into the following parts: Novelties, Service and Support (literature available), Sales and Marketing (development and Novell products), Novell Programmes etc.
Science Citation Index	Publ.: ISI	since 1980
SCI is a multiple-subject register containing records from journal literature in more than a hundred scientific fields. It incorporates information obtained in excess of 3,500 scientific journals from the developed countries in the world (including CR). The primary and unique feature of SCI is that it offers the possibility to establish a citation chain from the author of the original article regressively to a depth of up to five hierarchical levels. It is possible to establish the active and passive citation rate of the individual authors. In SCI, it is also possible to perform searches in the usual way using keywords and other keys.

This electronic version of the Journal of the Czech Standardisation Institute contains bibliographical records on standards. It consists of a complete list of the valid Czech National Standards and a list of trade standards. It also contains information on abolished standards and other auxiliary files.
SIGLE	Publ.: SilverPlatter	since 1980
This database contains information on "grey literature" - particularly on research reports and dissertations from all over Europe, which are not available through common distribution channels. It contains more than 360,000 records which cover economics, social sciences and humanities (29%), pure and applied natural sciences (26%), technology (31%), biology and medicine (14%).
Ulrich's Plus	Publ.: R. R. Bowker	current version
This CD-ROM enables access to the Bowker's International Serials database and provides detailed information on more than 172,000 active and discontinued periodicals and yearbooks from all over the world. The user has up to 24 selection keys at his/her disposal.

This specialised database contains more than 70,000 documents, mostly technical articles from the worlds leading producers of network hardware and software - concerning the operation, maintenance, optimisation of network products, individual components, programmes and applications

This database contains information on more than 125,000 German, Austrian and Swiss producers, trades' people and enterprises, including addresses, contact information and production programmes. The user can seek out, for example, the addresses of producers of a certain product in a specific region. In some records, the annual overview of profits and losses is also stated.
